Sneak Peek: Meadors – Gould Wedding

We were so very thrilled to be a part of Charlotte and Taylor’s (whirlwind) wedding weekend! We were part of a great team of vendors for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding day. First, a quick look at the rehearsal dinner centerpieces at Canoe — we had such a great time designing these with Taylor’s mom! These colorful centerpieces are perfect for an outdoor Springtime rehearsal dinner.

Next — the wedding day! Charlotte’s bouquet of white peonies was accented with a custom handkerchief and family heirloom Bible — so sweet! Her bridesmaids bouquets featured hints of purple with the loveliest lavender lilac we’ve seen in a while!

 

 

At the reception, our custom lavender medallion linen complemented more stunning purple tones, including deep purple hydrangea popped against whites and greens. We accented the outdoor tent at the Capital City Club with one of our iron fountains and added ambient lighting with our silver chandeliers. It was truly a wonderful night to remember!

Last but not least, the gorgeous cake by Frosted Pumpkin was accented with Charlotte’s favorite — more lavender lilac — with fresh gardenias at the base. A custom textured cake table linen complemented it beautifully.

 

The team at Watermark Weddings coordinated the weekend so well — it was our pleasure to work with such an all star cast of vendors! Congrats again to Charlotte and Taylor, and as always, our best wishes for happily ever after!

 

 

Real Social Event: High Museum of Art Go West! Gala

We were so thrilled to continue our relationship with Atlanta’s High Museum of Art at their October 2013 bolo, boots, and black-tie gala, celebrating the opening of the exhibit “Go West! Art of the American Frontier from the Buffalo Bill Center of the West.” We drew inspiration not only from the stunning art of the exhibit but also from desert wildflowers and the cowboys of the Wild West themselves. Thank you to the wonderful Janet Howard Studio for capturing the evening for us!

Guests walked into the party through a custom ranch entrance and sipped cocktails on the Piazza, which was outfitted with split rail fencing and cocktail tables topped with square wooden tops and colorful cactus centerpieces.

When guests entered the Wieland Pavilion for dinner, they were seated at either a round table with soft burlap linens and low desert wildflower centerpieces in reclaimed wooden boxes or at an estate table with bright mandarin linens topped with wooden tabletops detailed with thin rope. Tall centerpieces of desert wildflowers, tumbleweeds, rope, and lanterns completed the look. Each seat had a custom linen chair back and a brown bandana napkin tied with leather.

One of our favorite details of the evening was the living statue who greeted guests at the entrance. With a treatment to disguise himself as a Remington bronze, he was the perfect complement to our cowboy-inspired evening!

 

2013 Piedmont Ball: A Night in Old New Orleans

We are so excited to share photos from the 2013 Piedmont Ball today. Tony first began his relationship with the ball while working at Atlanta’s first event design company,  Griggs VanHorn and Associates, in 1983. Tony Brewer & Company first worked with the Piedmont Ball in 2003 and has since designed the ball eight times! The event champions a worthy cause — the Piedmont Ball is sponsored by Piedmont Hospital’s Women’s Auxiliary and allows Piedmont Hospital to purchase cutting-edge medical equipment.

The evening’s theme was “A Night in Old New Orleans,” so Tony designed the evening using lush florals and greenery, wrought iron elements and, of course, fleur de lis accents. The city’s rich French history also gave Tony plenty of design inspiration. Thank you to Ben Vigil for these stunning photographs!

The ball is held at the beautiful Piedmont Driving Club and features an evening filled with dinner, drinks, and dancing. Tony Brewer & Company’s linen team sewed each brocade table linen and fleur-de-lis chair back, while our floral designers used stately silver candelabra and vessels to display gorgeous roses, hydrangea, stock, lilies, and other fresh Southern flowers.

Other custom design elements in the room included the French Quarter-inspired installations constructed to fit into the venue’s existing archways and magnolia leaf garlands wrapped around the space’s many columns.

We are already hard at work designing the 2014 Piedmont Ball and can’t wait to share some of our design inspiration along the way. Thank you to the Piedmont Hospital’s Women’s Auxiliary for allowing us to be involved with this event for yet another year!

One of our favorite times of the year is here, Engagement Season!  We love the electric  energy of excited new brides and grooms to be as they start the planning process.  We also love helping their visions come to life in an elegant moment they will cherish forever!
