Sneak Peek: Meadors – Gould Wedding

We were so very thrilled to be a part of Charlotte and Taylor’s (whirlwind) wedding weekend! We were part of a great team of vendors for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding day. The weekend was photographed beautifully by Picture This! Photography. Here are a few of our favorites — head over to our Facebook page soon to see the whole album!

First, a quick look at the rehearsal dinner centerpieces at Canoe — we had such a great time designing these with Taylor’s mom! These colorful centerpieces are perfect for an outdoor Springtime rehearsal dinner.

Next — the wedding day! Charlotte’s bouquet of white peonies was accented with a custom handkerchief and family heirloom Bible — so sweet! Her bridesmaids bouquets featured hints of purple with the loveliest lavender lilac we’ve seen in a while!

At the reception, our custom lavender medallion linen complemented more stunning purple tones, including deep purple hydrangea popped against whites and greens. We accented the outdoor tent at the Capital City Club with one of our iron fountains and added ambient lighting with our silver chandeliers. It was truly a wonderful night to remember!

Last but not least, the gorgeous cake by Frosted Pumpkin was accented with Charlotte’s favorite — more lavender lilac — with fresh gardenias at the base. A custom textured cake table linen complemented it beautifully.

The team at Watermark Weddings coordinated the weekend so well — it was our pleasure to work with such an all star cast of vendors! Congrats again to Charlotte and Taylor, and as always, our best wishes for happily ever after!

What little girl doesn’t have a story of trying to catch the bouquet or better yet, stealing a little of the attention as the flower girl!

Here at Tony Brewer Co. we LOVE flowers – but we’re surprised at how few brides take full advantage of them. Step out beyond roses and baby’s breath with some of these seasonal ideas, care of our favorite frivolity, Pinterest!

Heavy Metal Weddings: Dip Your Nuptials in Gold!

A heavy metal wedding, for some, might spell a walk down the aisle to Black Sabbath or Motley Crue! Here at All The Buzz, we had something a little more “classical” in mind: Nuptials with hints of gorgeous gold and shimmery silver.

These precious metals are all around us, but with so much emphasis on spring pastels and rich primary colors in the cooler months, the timeless appeal of these naturally refined tones is often overlooked. Both are multi-seasonal and versatile: Paired with white or cream, gold can transition from ultra-modern to romantic, while silver, paired with the right palette, can transition from cool and sleek to whimsical with ease.

And the best part: There’s absolutely nobody and nothing that doesn’t get an automatic shot of elegance when decked in a touch of gold or silver! We don’t suggest you go breaking into Ft. Knox for your wedding – but there are lots of practical and easy ways you can incorporate gold and silver tones to make your ceremony a 24k affair! Continue reading

The Perfect Boutonnieres

Boutonnieres like bouquets should be fun and whimsical.  They should speak to the personality of the groom and help give them him his since of flair.  Roses and baby’s breath are out.  It is time to experiment with new flowers and different textures.  So have fun, and let the groom standout a little.

Here are three ideas we put together for boutonnieres with pizzazz.

Engagement Season: Bridal Shower Themes

What is engagement season without fabulous parties?  At the top of the party list is the bridal shower!  With the perfect theme, you can host a event the bride will cherish forever.

Here are several of our favorite themes.

1. The always fabulous “Color Themed” shower.  For a ladies only event, you can pick a color from the wedding or the always feminine pink.  If you are planning on inviting men for a co-ed shower, we recommend sticking to simple color like a black and white party theme.

2. What stressed out bride wouldn’t love a “Spa Themed” shower?  Instead of limiting yourself to facials and manicures, kick this theme up a notch with a yoga class.

3.  Last but not least, we all love the classic “High Tea Themed” shower.  Gorgeous hats and white gloves make everyone feel like a lady.  Several hotels still offer high tea, or you can personalize the event in your garden.

Engagement Season: Cake for Thought

Last year, the royal wedding took a small trend of white as a wedding party color and made it a little more acceptable.  To go along with this trend, we have several all white wedding cake ideas to share with you.

Fabulous Friends: Cammie Rice

This week Tony is spending time in Hong Kong visiting our fabulous friend Cammie Rice.  We love Mrs. Rice for a number of reasons including her glowing personality and commitment to the community.  One of these commitments is through her involvement with Usher’s New Look Foundation, and she has even allowed us the opportunity to get involved with this phenomenal organization.

In addition to working with Mrs. Rice in her community involvement, we also had the honor of being involved Mrs. Rice’s wedding to John Rice in 2007.  We enjoyed every moment of the planning, and we are proud to say Mrs. Rice would never do an event without us!
