The countdown is on for one of the fall’s first exciting events: Living Art America’s Bodies as a Work of Art, benefiting our great partner, The Chelko Foundation. This event’s mission of empowering women to transcend their current circumstances and achieve new levels of creativity goes hand-in-hand with Chelko’s incredibly important mission to end gender bias and violence against women and girls through art, education, and partnership.
Visit Living Art America to learn more about the event and to purchase tickets for this exciting evening of body painting, music, and entertainment on September 28 at the Atlantic Aviation Hangars!
It is the season of giving! We love to give back all year long, and we would like to share some different ways for you to get involved with two of our favorite organizations!
1) The Arthritis Foundation
“The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases.” They offer volunteering opportunities for all ages and large groups. One of their most consistent needs is office help, but they also still have opportunities to volunteer this weekend at their annual Jingle Bell Run. For more information on all of their volunteering opportunities, please visit the Arthritis Foundation’s Volunteer Page.
2) The Boys & Girls Clubs of America
The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America is “to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.” They offer a variety of volunteer opportunities including mentoring and coaching to individuals 18 and up who pass their background screening. For more information on their volunteering opportunities and requirements in Metro Atlanta, please visit the Metro Atlanta Boys & Girls Clubs Volunteer Page, or find a club near you.
“I don’t know what your destiny will be, but one thing I know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve.”
This week Tony is spending time in Hong Kong visiting our fabulous friend Cammie Rice. We love Mrs. Rice for a number of reasons including her glowing personality and commitment to the community. One of these commitments is through her involvement with Usher’s New Look Foundation, and she has even allowed us the opportunity to get involved with this phenomenal organization.

In addition to working with Mrs. Rice in her community involvement, we also had the honor of being involved Mrs. Rice’s wedding to John Rice in 2007. We enjoyed every moment of the planning, and we are proud to say Mrs. Rice would never do an event without us!
No detail was overlooked
We are so honored to have wonderful friends like Mrs. Rice, and we are looking forward to new stories of wonderful adventures when Tony returns.
“A friend is one who knows you and loves you just the same.”
Who doesn’t love an afternoon at the Atlanta Zoo hanging out with the Panamanian Golden Frog, Ring-tailed lemur, White-crested laughing thrush, and Guatemalan beaded lizard. We sure do! Now add great jazz and food in an evening setting with decor provided by Tony Brewer & Company…It doesn’t get any better!
This year you will be able to find our decor in the Ford Pavilion. We were feeling inspired by the lush tones of tangerine, chocolate, and turquoise reflected in the invitation. In addition, we love the whimsical feel of the animals in the artwork, and you will find reflections of them in the decor too.
The 4th annual Jazzoo is taking place this weekend, and it is a great way to give back to the Atlanta Zoo while having a wonderful music filled evening. We hope to see you there.
“Our task must be to free ourselves… by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty.”
When you find other businesses that you enjoy working with, you hold on tight to that relationship. As a décor vendor, we really enjoy working with Endive Fine Catering for several reasons: they are endlessly creative, always accommodating, and very fun.
Owned by Chef Drew Ihrig, Endive is always on the cutting edge of flavors. The staff custom designs menus featuring strong picks in local, regional, and international cuisine. Not only does the food consistently taste great, but their presentation, from passed hors d’oeuvres to buffet set-ups to plated dinners, is always beautiful.
Endive also features an event space for rehearsal dinners and other small gatherings, so definitely check that out on their website. Until then, don’t miss these photos of the event space and past events with their yummy food!
Many people don’t know that Tony got his start as a florist, so it was only natural for him to launch Flowers by Tony Brewer last year. Floral design is already a large part of what we do out of our central office, so adding a retail floral design center, right in the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead, allowed us to accept more floral jobs and also fill a void for high end personal bouquet and arrangement design.
Our staff at “the flower shop,” as we call it, does an awesome job designing for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, births, small dinners and gatherings, and other celebratory moments. And when the occasion arises, they are able to take on small receptions and other social and corporate events, especially in the Buckhead area. With a distinctly elegant Southern vibe, the Flowers staff brings a creative edge that clients have to come expect from a Tony Brewer venture.
Perfect for any occasion (especially for delivery to Ritz-Carlton Buckhead guests!), Flowers by Tony Brewer delivers creative, custom floral arrangements with unparalleled service. Visit their website or give them a call at 404.906.1911 for your next celebratory arrangement!
