Besides the dress and the bride herself, they’re the center of attention on the aisle: We’re speaking of course of the bouquet! What little girl doesn’t have a story of trying to catch the bouquet or better yet, stealing a little of the attention as the flower girl!
Here at Tony Brewer Co. we LOVE flowers – but we’re surprised at how few brides take full advantage of them. Step out beyond roses and baby’s breath with some of these seasonal ideas, care of our favorite frivolity, Pinterest!

Love is most certainly in the air this month! Valentine’s Day is literally around the corner and for many sweethearts, it will mean flowers, candy, romantic dinners , dancing and more! And for an even luckier group of us, it will mean wedding bells. Valentine’s Day is understandably a top day for getting married: At Gwinnett Historic Courthouse in Lawrenceville , for instance, dozens of couples sign up each year for an intimate Feb. 14 ceremony.
But planning a wedding for this or any holiday isn’t without its unique challenges – mostly how to incorporate the theme and feel of the day (after all, that’s why you chose it!) without letting the holiday overshadow your special moment. It can be tricky, but here are a few tips from yours truly that can help you make your holiday wedding a unique treat!
Isn’t the Internet grand? With the stroke of just a few keys, we can reach out to old high school friends, read our favorite fashion magazine, catch up on the news and watch a TV show – all without getting out of bed! One of our favorite benefits of our increasingly wired world is the ability to find beautiful images to inspire us, and one of our absolute favorite sites to check out is Pinterest.
If you’re not web savvy, Pinterest is an online pinboard, where users post images they like and others show their agreement by repinning or liking the picture. That’s really all there is to it – it’s just pure fun based on the beauty that’s all around us. It’s a great place to kill free time but for us, it’s a wonderful tool for finding unique looks and emerging trends.
If you haven’t had a chance, check Pinterest out – we know a lot of you just got engaged! For now, take a look at some of our favorite pinboards for wedding and design.
One of the things we love most about Pinterest is how plugging just a few words in to search can open up a world of visual beauty and glamour! And that’s just what happened when we were nosing around for brooches and happened upon page after page of gorgeous, glittering brooch bouquets!
An obvious take on the traditional wedding bouquet, these shimmering versions are created entirely from brooches – not quite as lightweight or sweet smelling as a bundle of roses, but who can deny how beautiful they are?
It always seems like the colorful blooms and refreshing breezes of spring have barely arrived before the evening soirees and wine country jaunts of the summer are upon us! The summer months are just around the corner, and this season for mint juleps and lazy days is also prime time for outdoor weddings.
Whether at the beach side in Maui or a rose garden in Buckhead, outdoor weddings share some of the same benefits – gorgeous weather and stunning scenery – as well as drawbacks: soaring heat and pesky bugs that can leave guests sticky and uncomfortable.
What’s a blushing bride to do? Tony Brewer and Co. to the rescue! Try our summer wedding do’s and don’ts to ensure your outdoor ceremony is the fabulous affair you deserve! Continue reading
Weddings can easily take over your life and become very stressful. To avoid being overwhelmed by your upcoming nuptials we have several ideas to help you relax.
1. A Morning or Afternoon Run
Running is a great way to clear your mind of anxious energy and dreams about wedding crashers. Go for a run alone or invite a friend.
2. Go to a Concert
It is pretty hard to stress out while you are belting out your favorite tunes. Whether you go to a live concert at a venue or create your own concert with your iPod in your living room, just have fun.
3. Be a Tourist in Your Own City
Instead of waiting for your honeymoon to relax, spend a day exploring your city. Grab a group of friends and have a wedding free day of fun with cameras, sun visors, and fanny packs.
“What’s the use of worrying? It never was worthwhile.”
You have picked out your perfect gown, and you want to make sure everyone sees and appreciates every single detail as you walk down the aisle towards the altar. In order to really reassure every detail is seen including the stunning earrings you have selected, you will have to opt for an updo, but you’re don’t want to look like you’re heading to prom. It’s your wedding day! So go see our friends at Jamison Shaw Hairdressers for something unique and gorgeous.
Below are several wedding updos that they created for a wedding photo shoot for Atlantan Brides Magazine.
