One of Atlanta’s most anticipated galas of the year is right around the corner – the United Negro College Fund Mayor’s Masked Ball! This exciting event is one of our favorites – not only because it brings out the glitterati from far and wide – and not just because, in it’s 29th year, it’s one of the city’s older social events. We love this event because it’s a good time for a great cause!
Atlanta is known for producing brilliant black political leaders, social activists and performers. This event brings together many of those amazing minds to raise money to support the education of a new generation of leaders of color.
The holiday charity was started by the city’s celebrated Mayor Andrew Young during his time at Atlanta’s helm. Young, a respected activist in the civil rights community, sought a way to leverage the resource in Atlanta’s vast philanthropic community to aid talented black students.

Holiday season is nearly here – it seems like we were just celebrating the spring blooms! The warm weather may be gone, but the fall and winter seasons offer their own delights: Warm drinks, cozy cashmere sweaters, glorious galas and endless social affairs. If you’re anything like us your card will be full through December – and at least one of those dates will include attending – or even planning – a holiday office party.
Over the years, holiday office parties truly have gotten a bad reputation: Many of us aren’t excited about spending our free time with our co-workers and bosses. Food isn’t always the best and conversations can range from stilted to downright boring. Well here at Tony Brewer and Co., we believe a beautiful atmosphere can not only please the eye, it can inspire! With a little attention to detail, planning and creativity, you’re sure to plan the perfect holiday office party in no time.
