We chat with our neighbors, rub elbows with our neighbors – but do we ever buy from our neighbors? The latter concept is what’s behind a creative March of Dimes event that’s getting the Tony Brewer touch this weekend! “The Farmer and The Chef” – a fundraiser happening Saturday at the Ritz-Carlton in Buckhead – pairs local farmers with local chefs for a night of unique fine dining.
The result is a four-course dinner with proceeds that go toward the March of Dimes’ ongoing commitment to ensuring babies across Georgia are born healthy.
Our inspiration for this event is an elegant take on a fall-fresh farmer’s market. The entrance to the event will be marked by a farmer’s market vignette – think fresh flowers and produce with natural wood touches. Guests will dine at banquet tables with custom wood details while local flowers in mason jars will serve as country chic centerpieces. This isn’t your standard farmer’s market!
This event is especially exciting because it’s a first for Georgia; for the past five years, the foundation has instead focused on connecting local chefs with donors in Delaware.
Saturday’s event will feature some of Georgia’s top chefs:
- Franck Steigerwald – Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead
- Ron Eyester – Rosebud
- Todd Richards – The Shed at Glenwood
- Hilary White – The Hill, A Restaurant at Serenbe
The event will feature a live silent auction. Gifts will range from fine dining packages to vacation getaways to sports packages and spa packages. And of course, we’ll be there creating an elegant environment for dining and giving!
