We love spring and everything it has to offer like great weather, beautiful flowers, evening walks, and dinner parties. In the spirit of the season, we wanted to share some of our favorite menu ideas with you for a fun spring get together.
The Formal Outdoor Dinner Party:
Take your formal dinner party outside with candle lit tables and fresh flowers. For this outdoor soiree, we recommend an antipasto tray to start, a local seasonal salad as a first course, a whole roasted chicken with roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables as a main course, and sorbet with local seasonal fresh fruit to finish.
The Informal Dinner in the Formal Dining Room:
We rarely use our formal dining room as much as we would like, so dress it down with casual attire and a buffet. For this casual night, we recommend pimento cheese with fresh vegetables and crackers to start, bbq with grilled corn and fresh coleslaw as a main course, and strawberry shortcake to finish.
The Game Night Dinner Party:
Grilling goes perfectly with a game of cornhole or bocce ball! There is no need to step foot inside when you can prepare everything on the grill. For this fun night, we recommend grilled jalapeno poppers to start, grilled kabobs with a watermelon and feta salad as a main course, and assorted popsicles and ice cream sandwiches for dessert.
“Show me another pleasure like dinner which comes every day and lasts an hour.”
