Holiday Ready: The Guestroom

Friends and family make the holidays special, but preparing for them can be quite a feat.  The planning of meals and outings are always carefully orchestrated, but what about after all the fun and games are done.  What happens when your guest retires to their room?  Here are several quick and easy tips to make your guest feel special and comfortable.

Of course flowers are on the top of list, and orchids are our favorite.  Orchids love indirect sunlight, and they will also do well in most bedrooms.

Water is also at the top of the list.  There is nothing worse than waking up parched in the middle of the night.  We love beautiful carafes with glasses that fit on top.

Next on our list is reading material.  Knowing what topics your guest enjoy and providing reading material is a very simple way to show them you have truly gone above and beyond to make sure they are comfortable during their visit.

Last, we recommend a snack for your guest if you don’t mind them eating in their room.  A bowl of fruit or a mason jar filled with trail mix is simple and thoughtful.

“What is there more kindly than the feeling between host and guest?”
